From the piste map you can see we are right by the ski area which starts outside our front door.

The skipass gives you access to the Mutteralmbahn, the Götznerbahn and other lifts in the area.

The nearby Mutteralm ski domain is perfect for family skiing, with a children’s ski world, gentle slopes for beginners and intermediates as well as pistes graded to racing levels. The Götznerabfahrt red run was famed as the most beautiful forest ski run during the Olympic Games.

Skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing we have something for everyone. Stop and take a breather now and again to admire the fantastic views over the Inn valley – on a clear day you can see the ‘Wilde Kaiser’ in distant Unterland.

Immerse yourself in the romantic winter atmosphere of Innsbruck with its renowned medieval old town.

 You’ll find Gasthof Lärchenwald just below the Mutteralm Lift station.

Our winter landscape is truly magical. Just a stone’s throw from the Lärchenwald you can catch the Mutteralmbahn lift with its comfortable 8 seater gondolas which will whisk you up to the top of the mountain in no time at all.

There you will find well groomed pistes and for those not wishing to ski there are winter walking trails and a prepared toboggan run to take you back down to the base station.

You can pop into several mountain restaurants for snacks or lunch and then head back to the Lärchenwald for Tyrolean cuisine to build up your strength for the rest of your winter wonderland holiday!
